For over two years, most school bags have been collecting dust in closets already. Some may have even sold or donated their old bags. But now that students are attending classes onsite again, these school bags have found use once again. And yet, one school went on the road less taken and encouraged their students to bring NO bags.

Main character things!

At St. Joseph Academy of Sariaya, Quezon, senior high school students were encouraged to join the “No Bag Day”, where they leave their bags at home and instead, bring creative alternative containers to carry their books and other school supplies. “As a part of the season of creation celebration, Josephinians brought unusual bags to carry their books, portfolios, and food,” wrote the Supreme Student Government – St. Joseph Academy of Sariaya, Quezon.

The students were definitely up to the challenge, bringing in the most creative alternative bags you might ever see. Here are some of our favorites, ranked according to what we think is best!

#8 Laundry basket

Sorry to all the dirty laundry at home. Sa sahig muna kayo.

#7 Stroller

No problem lugging around your school essentials since you can just push them around on this stroller. This student even brought a stuffed toy a.k.a. the baby.

Class, wag kayong noisy. Malilista kayo. At may baby dito sa class.

#6 Fishnet with long handle

Fishing for a 100 in the quiz for today’s vidyow.

#5 Pillow case

It’s just like a bag, but made even better because you can use it to take quick naps in between classes!

#4 Pet cage

This alternative bag might be bulky, but it has a handle! Bonus: Today is a free day for the house’s pet! Sana lang di sila mawala.

#3 Cooler

School bag and lunch box in one!

As one commenter said, “better than a tote bag” and we agree.

Nakapagbenta pa siya!

#2 Home appliances

You can even heat up your lunch, too! PS. Ma, sorry, ma. Mamayang gabi ka na lang mag-init ng lutuin.

Hopefully, this electric fan cover is the one from this student’s room… Paano na lang ang pamilya sa bahay ngayong napakainit sa Pilipinas?

#1 Beer case

Taking the top spot is this beer case-turned-handy bag! Shot puno agad?

See the rest of the alternative bags from No Bag Day on the Facebook page of the school’s Supreme Student Government. Kudos for all the creativity to the witty students of St. Joseph Academy of Sariaya, Quezon!
