8 Restaurants You Need to
Try in Solenad, Nuvali
By Shen Mascariñas

Beyond the outlet stores, picnic spots and refreshing scenery, Nuvali’s hottest attraction is a food haven that’s absolutely worth the road trip. Solenad is a huge, sprawling and mostly open air kind of mall that’s unlike any of Ayala’s developments. With tons of new restaurants nestled in lush greenery and bright spaces, Solenad definitely screams for a southern food adventure A S A P. Finally, food spots down south aren’t limited to breezy Tagaytay anymore.

Head to Nuvali this weekend and make sure you’re hungry as you explore Solenad’s delicious grounds. Here are 8 restaurants to try for a guaranteed happy and stuffed ride home.

8. Milky Moustache

Solenad 3, Nuvali, Tagaytay Road Corner Nuvali Boulevard, Santa Rosa Laguna
Open everyday from 10am to 10pm
Budget for two – P500

Got a sweet tooth? No problem! Milky Moustache’s delectable concoctions are just the thing to soothe those cravings. They have 20 exciting flavors, from classic Vanilla to a more outrageous Crunchy Cookie Butter. Milky Moustache isn’t just an awesome source for milkshakes, though. You can have your appetizer and main course here as well with their all day breakfast and comfort food options. Some scrumptious examples are Mommy M’s Special Longanisa, Salisbury Steak, Tinapa Pesto Pasta and Philly Cheesesteak.

7. Harry’s Café De Wheels

Open everyday from 10am to 10pm
Budget for two – P800

Harry’s Café De Wheels is an import from Australia, where it’s popular as a local food truck. Try it to get well-acquainted with what the Aussies snack on beyond poutine. Think freshly made and generously filled pies that come in various flavors. Meat lovers have to try the crowd favorite Tiger Pie, which comes with a beefy interior and toppings of mashed potatoes, mushy peas and Harry’s special gravy.

Harry’s hotdogs are out of the ordinary as well. For example, the Hot Dog de Wheels is sausage topped with mushy peas, chili con carne, cheese and sriracha. If you come to Solenad early in the morning, this Australian café’s breakfast options would be a good idea, too.

6. Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen

Open everyday from 11am to 9pm
Budget for two – P1000

Definitely an oldie but a goodie, Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen is a warm and homey spot for reliable Italian cuisine. Their wonderful service is complemented with a wide selection of tasty and reasonably-priced Italian dishes that aren’t necessarily the most authentic, but are sure to please Pinoy appetites. The Mama Lou’s Special Pizza, for example, adds mango to the typical (but winner) pizza ingredients tomato, mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula and balsamic cream.

After you gobble up their complimentary bread served with marinara and pesto, don’t leave without trying their standout dishes. Those include the Risotto Tartufo Funghi, Spaghetti Seafood Olio and Rollo Di Pollo.

5. The Morning After

Open everyday from 7am to 10pm
Budget for two – P1000

Make all your breakfast dreams come true and visit Solenad’s The Morning After. It’s the perfect cure for non-morning people as the place seemingly emits sunshine from its interiors down to the food. Aside from the usual silogs and sweet treats, The Morning After offers more interesting breakfast options inspired by the likes of Italian, German and Japanese cuisine. Try their breakfast versions of bruschetta, pizza and maki. Their German breakfast is also a very hearty meal that meat-lovers would surely approve of.
