Singapore Brand Love, Bonito Hints at Having Physical Stores in the Philippines Soon

Pinays have a soft spot in their hearts and wardrobes for Singaporean brand Love, Bonito. Since it started shipping to our shores in 2019, it has become a cult-favorite for staple pieces women swear by. And after the successful Love, Bonito on Wheels in 2022, the brand’s first mobile pop-up store in the Philippines, it became clearer that Filipina girlies need an offline store ASAP. Well, it looks like the brand heard our pleas. Love, Bonito Summerhouse, a Summer Pop-up will run from May 5 to 28 and it will let customers purchase outfits right on the spot! But is the brand hinting at opportunities for a physical store in the Philippines?

“After an overwhelmingly positive response for our first pop-up experience in 2022, we knew that we had to be back! Our refreshed LB Summerhouse was built upon feedback from our last edition, where we ensured that our Filipino LBCommunity would now be able to browse, try-on and more importantly, bring home our well-loved pieces right away,” shares Love, Bonito Co-founder Rachel Lim.

The LB Summerhouse has now been upgraded to fit four dressing rooms. It will also feature Love, Bonito staples, cult favorites, and its newest Spring/Summer collections in different sizes for customers to try and find their perfect fit.

And if you see something you like, good news — you can purchase it on the spot and take it home right away. The pop-up offers different payment options: cash, debit/credit, and e-wallet. And you might want to snag this deal since customers who purchased at the LB Summerhouse will be entitled to a 15% discount for their next online order (subject to terms and conditions).

In addition, customers who sign up for Love, Bonito’s LBCommunity+ programme will also be treated to a free ice cream from The Dairy Grind, available at the pop-up on all Saturdays and Sundays.

Is Love, Bonito hinting at a physical store in the Philippines soon?

Aside from a second pop-up store, did we mention LB recently launched an Instagram account specific to the Philippines? Are you picking up what we’re putting down here? Maybe this is wishful thinking but Love, Bonito having a physical store in the Philippines feels possible at this point. And if these aren’t enough clues, LB co-founder Lim herself says they’re thinking of “offline store expansions.”

“The Philippines remains one of our key markets as we expand globally, and this pop-up store is a step closer to developing our omnichannel strategy in the country, with offline store expansions in mind,” says Lim.
