On December 8, 2022, the MOA Arena was filled with excited fans as Maroon 5 took the stage for their highly anticipated concert. The Grammy-winning band, known for hits such as “Sugar” and “This Love,” brought their unique blend of pop and rock to the Philippines as part of their 2022 World Tour. This concert (mounted by Live Nation Philippines) marked the band’s fourth time performing in the country, and they did not disappoint. With lead singer Adam Levine commanding the stage, the band delivered a high-energy performance that had the crowd singing and dancing all night long.

A night of nostalgia

By 8 p.m. on December 8, 2022, the MOA Arena was quickly filling up for the Maroon 5 concert. DJ Mr. Mailbox started the night off with some great beats, pumping up the crowd before Maroon 5 took the stage at 9 p.m.

Maroon 5 opened with their hit song “Moves Like Jagger”, getting the crowd immediately on their feet and singing along. From there, it was a non-stop journey of great music as they played all their greatest hits from through the years, including “Sunday Morning,” “Harder to Breathe,” and “Girls Like You.”

The band also performed hits from their 2021 studio album Jordi, like “One Light” and “Memories”.

Mid-show, Adam Levine took a moment during the show to talk about why they love coming back to the Philippines: Filipinos love to sing.

As the band performed acoustic versions of “Payphone” and “She Will Be Loved”, the crowd made sure we lived up to our reputation. The whole arena sang along at the top of their lungs, creating a truly magical moment. (What made the “She Will Be Loved” performance extra special was the fact that this year marks the song’s 20th anniversary.)

The band ended the night with their hit “Sugar”, leaving the crowd wanting more.

Despite changes in the line-up and shifts in popular music trends, Maroon 5 has continued to release catchy and well-received songs. This concert has proven that the band has not lost their edge, even after two decades in the industry. Overall, it was a fantastic concert and a great way to kick off the holiday season.
