In this day and age, everyone needs a smartphone that could keep up with their daily lives. Whether that’s bingeing the latest series, playing games well into the night, or using it for the demands of school and work. A great smartphone is packed with features and, best of all, easy on the pockets. So if you’re looking for a smartphone that has it all, the realme 10 Pro 5G Series is worth checking out.

realme starts the new year in full swing with the back-to-back launch of the realme 10 Pro Series 5G which will be available in Philippine markets on February 15. It includes two powerhouse offerings — the realme 10 Pro 5G and the realme 10 Pro+ 5G for an even better smartphone experience. But for this review, we’ll only be looking at the realme 10 Pro 5G, its beautiful display, high-performing cameras, and its affordable price tag.

realme 10 Pro Series 5G: Specs for tech geeks

Here’s a quick look at the specs for the realme 10 Pro 5G:

  • Display: 120Hz Boundless Display with Double Reinforced Glass; TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certified; 6.72″ FHD+ LCD with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.76%; 680 nits brightness; bezels as thin as 1mm (Left & Right), 1.15mm (Top) and 4.2mm (Chin)

A focus on the display

@8list.ph It’s heeeereeee! The realme 10 Pro 5G series will officially be available in the PH on Feb 14 ❤️‍🔥 In the meantime, here’s wht to expect. #unboxing #realme #realme10pro5G #DisplayNewVision #SpotTheRealPros @realme Philippines #fyp #newsph ♬ Calm LoFi song(882353) – S_R

One of the best features of the realme 10 Pro 5G is its stunning display which we got to test firsthand. For starters, its got a 6.72″ FHD+ LCD screen that’s nearly bezel-less for a full viewing experience. It’s also perfect for gaming since it features a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother screen displays. For reference, most smartphones only have 60Hz and 90Hz refresh rates which could make busy displays seem lagging, especially for gaming. So having a 120Hz is a high-refresh option worth going for.

With thin bezels and a great crystal-clear display resolution, the realme 10 Pro 5G could blend with its surroundings.

When used outdoors, realme 10 Pro 5G could go up to 680 nits of brightness under direct sunlight. The screen’s brightness could even adapt to how well-lit the surroundings are or to the current smartphone activity.

For heavy phone users, the realme 10 Pro 5G also has TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification so you don’t have to worry about too much smartphone exposure. It reduces blue light emission without compromising the visual image quality.

Solid battery performance

On a single charge, the realme 10 Pro 5G’s 5,000 mAh battery could last the whole day. Of course, that depends on how its used. For casual users who just switch between social media platforms, the battery could easily last until the end of the day. If heavily used for gaming or taking photos and videos at concerts, for example, it might drain a bit faster.

However, the 33W SUPERVOOC Charge can charge the device up to 50% in 29 minutes or up to 100% in just 74 minutes. Battery is life in this day and age and realme 10 Pro 5G has got it right.

Huuuge storage capacity

The realme 10 Pro 5G comes out of the box giving its user the ability to make use of up to 8GB of internal storage. That acts as RAM on top of the already embedded physical RAM of 8GB. It also comes with 256 GB internal storage which means there’s plenty of space for your photos, videos, games, and everything in between.

High-performing cameras

Aside from giving its users a full-screen nearly bezel-less experience and a smooth display refresh rate for gamers, the realme 10 Pro 5G also boasts awesome camera features. Its 108MP ProLight camera captures high-resolution shots at 108 Million Pixels. Zoom into your photo and the image retains its clarity.

At low-light settings, the camera also performs well using the Night mode. That’s also thanks to the phone’s Nonapixel Plus Technology which combines 9 pixels into one for low-light photography.

It even comes with other features such as HyperShot Imaging Architecture, QuickShot Acceleration Engine, and Parallel Processing for burst shorts. There’s also the Intelligent Frame Taking for self-optimized shots, Intention Prediction, One Shot Feature using the 108MP Mode, the Super Group Portrait with intelligent face detection, and AI Video Tracking.

The 16MP Centered Hole-Punch Camera is also great for taking beautiful selfies. It’s engineered and fine-tuned with realme’s imaging algorithms for a clear shot.

It’s lightweight and stylish

Even without turning on the screen, the realme 10 Pro 5G is a stunner. It comes in three colors: Dark Matter, Hyperspace Gold, and Nebula Blue. Not that we’re picking favorites but the most eye-catching variant is undeniably Hyperspace Gold. The patterns and light effects give it an illusion of going through a hyperspace tunnel! Meanwhile, the Dark Matter and Nebula Blue colors are inspired by elements in outer space.

And best of all, easy on the pockets

And now for the part everyone’s waiting for — how much does the realme 10 Pro 5G cost? For a smartphone packed with many features, users don’t need to spend for a premium price tag.

The realme 10 Pro 5G (8GB+256GB) is officially priced at P16,999 and can be purchased starting February 15 both in online and offline stores.

But if you want to make the most out of your money, set your alarms for February 15 and visit realme flagship stores on Shopee and Lazada. On Shopee, the realme 10 Pro 5G (8GB+256GB) is P2,000 off and can be availed for only P14,999 on February 15 as well as on Lazada from February 15 to 17 only.

realme 10 Pro+ 5G: A more elevated smartphone experience

If you’re looking for even more features, the realme 10 Pro+ 5G will be available in Dark Matter and Hyperspace Gold colors with 8GB+128GB storage variant retailing for P19,999, while the 12GB+256GB storage option can be purchased at P24,999.

This can be pre-ordered starting February 27 to March 10, 2023 through offline realme stores and can be claimed from March 11 to 12, 2023. The realme 10 Pro+ 5G in 12GB+256GB storage variant is also offered via Home Credit that is payable for up to 18 months at 0% interest (that’s only P32 per day!)
