8 of the Most Lavish Local Debuts
By Kyzia Maramara
A debut is probably one of the most important events in a girl’s life. It celebrates her coming-of-age and her step from a young girl into a young woman. There are a lot of ways to celebrate this special event. It could be through a simple meal with your family, or a small party with close friends. Some people, however, like to spend it with extravagance and why not? Turning 18 will only happen once! Here are 8 debutantes in their own lavish debuts.
1. Gabbi Garcia
The grand debut party of Gabbi Garcia was held at the Marriott Hotel Grand Ballroom in Pasay City. She wore a silver custom Mark Bumgarner gown for the evening. Celebrities that attended include Andrei Paras, Annette Gozon, Gabbi’s Encantadia co-stars, couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera and, of course, Ruru Madrid.
2. Kisses Delavin
Kisses Delavin wore what would perhaps be one of the most beautiful and lavish debut gowns we’ve ever seen. Designed by Francis Libiran, it’s a beautiful number with a long train intricately embellished with embroidery. Guests included Ylona Garcia, Barbie Imperial, and Kisses’ PBB housemates. Her escort was even MYX VJ Donny Pangilinan!
3. Claudia Barretto
Claudia, the youngest daughter of Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla, recently had her debut at Whitespace Manila in Makati. She wore a crystal-embellished gown by Mark Bumgarner. Even though the debut was for family and close friends, it was still a star-studded event with celebrities like Lucy Torres-Gomez, Pops Fernandez, Yassi Pressman, and Erich Gonzales in attendance.
4. Janella Salvador
Janella thought she was going to sing as a surprise guest for a 7-year-old fan’s birthday party. Little did she know that it was her own party she was about to sing for! The Hollywood-themed debut at the Palazzo Verde in Las Pinas was a surprise from Star Magic. Janella wore a champagne gown by Pepsi Herrera and a red gown by Stephanie Tan. Among the people who attended were Elmo Magalona, Julia Barretto, host of the night Robi Domingo, and Sophia Andres.
