#F4Thailand: Get To Know The Cast Of Meteor Garden Thailand

Back in the early ’00s, we all fell in love with the Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden, which may be credited for starting the Asian drama craze in the Philippines and beyond. The series that originated from a Japanese manga Boys Over Flowers has had Korean and Chinese remakes as well. Now, Thailand is ready to release its own version. Last week, GMMTV released a short teaser of the upcoming Meteor Garden remake. Get to know the fresh faces that will join the cast of F4 Thailand.

 

The first teaser

Fans were surprised when GMMTV dropped the first teaser for the upcoming remake. The 1 minute and 42-second long teaser gave viewers a glimpse of each of the characters. The network has yet to confirm when the drama will air but from the teaser alone, one can sense that it’s going to be a hit. Fans of Thai BL series might be familiar with two of the show’s leads as the stars of the drama 2gether Bright Vachirawit and Win Metawin will headline the upcoming remake.

 

 

Hirunkit Changkham as MJ

This rookie actor will make his acting debut in the upcoming drama. While not much is known about his character, his looks are already making the internet swoon. It’s rumored that his character MJ is the Thai counterpart of the  Taiwanese version’s Měi Zuò.

 

Jirawat Sutivanisak as Ren

Currently studying in college, this promising actor is sure to melt hearts as he plays the role Ren in the upcoming remake. The upcoming Thai remake of Meteor Garden will also be Jirawat’s first acting gig. It’s rumored that his character Ren will be the Thai counterpart of Huā Zé Lèi’s character.

 


Win Metawin as Kavin

BL fans are quite familiar with Win Metawin who is set to star as Kavin. The young actor first starred in the popular BL dramas 2gether and still 2gether as Tine Teepakorn. After the massive success of 2gether, Win became a household name, along with his co-star Bright Vachirawit. It’s rumored that his character Kavin is the Thai counterpart of the Taiwanese version’s character Xī Mén.

Bright Vachirawit as Thyme

Out of all the cast members, Bright has been in the industry for the longest time. He first made his acting debut in 2015 and has since been part of multiple dramas and shows. He is best known for playing the character Sarawat in the hit BL drama 2gether. His character is rumored to be the Thai counterpart of the Taiwanese version’s  character Dào Míng Sì

 

Tontawan Tantivejakul as Gorya

This rookie actress is set to play Gorya the leading lady in the story. Aside from acting, Tontawan Tantivejakul is also taking up dentistry in college. She is also known as the younger sister of Thai musician and actor Tonhon Tantivejakul and the brother and sister duo often like to post funny videos and song covers online.

 

Other possible characters?

Apparently, Love share the F4 teaser on her story. Is it possible that Love will be the main actress’ bestfriend and also Win love line ?

Fans are speculating that actress Love Pattranite Limpatiyakorn who played Pear in the series 2gether will play the role of Gorya’s best friend. No other information about other cast members is confirmed.

 

When will it air?

Not much is known about the upcoming drama, but according to reports, it’s set to air sometime next year. So fans of Thai dramas and/or F4, better watch out for updates!
