When watching K-dramas, there’s always a supporting actor who inevitably catches all of our attention. His character may not be the most important in the series, but he steals every scene he’s in. Take note of these up-and-coming Korean drama actors, cause you’re probably going to see more of them in the next few years.

 

Lee Shin-young

After staring as the handsome soldier Park Kwang-beom in the drama Crash Landing On You, we’ll surely see this actor on the small screen again! After all, he’s only 22 years old, which means he has a long career ahead of him. (You may have also seen him in the drama How To Buy A Friend.)

 

 


Pyo Ji-hoon

This actor is better known for his music career but lately, he’s been taking the K-drama world by storm. After being a part of a string of successful K-dramas, Ji-hoon is slowly becoming well known in the K-drama industry. His next K-drama More Than Friends is set to air this September.

 

 

Song Kang

After making his acting debut in Liar and His Lover,  Song Kang has become one of the most sought after actors of his generation. The actor has also starred in the Netflix original drama Love Alarm alongside Kim Soo-hyun. His next K-Drama Sweet Home is scheduled for this year and will also be available on Netflix.

 

Kim Dong-hee

Most fans would know this actor from his role in the K-Drama Extracurricular, but he has also starred in other successful shows and dramas. One of the first dramas Dong-hee starred in was the web drama A-Teen, where he played the role of Ha Min. In 2019, he was awarded the Rising Star award by the Brand of the Year Awards.

 

Shin Seung-ho

 

After being dubbed as the “web drama prince”, this young actor is sure to star in many more hit K-dramas. Shin Seung-ho first starred in the web series A-Teen as Nam Shi-woo. After, he landed a lead role in the Netflix original drama Love Alarm.

 

Choi Bo-min

After making fans swoon in the web drama A-Teen, this idol is making heads turn with his amazing acting. He’ll next star in the drama 18 Again; we hope to see him in more acting roles in the future.

 

 

Hwang Minhyun

After being in the industry for eight years, this handsome singer will soon make his acting debut! After bagging the male rookie award at the 4th Korea Musical Awards, Minhyun is set to star in the drama Live On, which is set to air later this year.

 

Kwak Dong-yeon

This actor has been in the industry since 2012! Since then he has played a string of successful roles in different dramas. The most noteworthy one is his role as Yeon Woo-young in the K-Drama My ID Is a Gangnam Beauty. He also made an appearance in the recently concluded drama It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.
