The 8List Guide to Cinemalaya 2015

Calling all cinephiles, your much-awaited time of the year has come! Our chance to show our local film makers some love and support has finally come back around in the form of Cinemalaya. This year, Cinemalaya will feature feature length films from other countries alongside homegrown short films which be shown at the CCP and Greenbelt 3. As with every year, the film festival promises a lot of great cinema. Time to set your schedules, here are 8 short films that we are looking forward to:

 

8. Pusong Bato

Cinta Dela Cruz, a middle-aged faded actress tries to relive her glorious days as a movie star in the 1970s by watching films at home every day.  One day during an earthquake, something breaks into her window and wakes her up from her Hollywood dream.

7. Nenok

Nenok, a nine-year-old street kid in Malolos, Bulacan adopts the city’s historic Barasoain Church as a temporary home and his personal space for mischief to the distress and annoyance of Mang Johnny, the stern parish groundskeeper.

1. Kyel
