Last weekend, brand new trains from South Korea were installed on the tracks of MRT-7 along Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City. News outlets posted photos of the process — San Miguel Corporation laying two plastic-covered heavy trains on the tracks. Looking at it reminded Pinoys of something we all love to do since the pandemic struck — online shop. Six more train sets are set to arrive late in the year until 2022, until the Philippines reaches a total of 36 or 108 cars. These trains consist of three cars each and are 65.45 meters (214.73 feet) long. That’s longer than the length of an Olympic-sized swimming pool.
