The much-anticipated adaptation of author Leigh Bardugo’s original Grishaverse trilogy is finally streaming on Netflix. Shadow and Bone is actually quite faithful to the books, with the world of the Grisha or beings who practice what they call the Small Science (magic, in layman’s terms). The series primarily follows the story of Alina Starkov, as she discovers her hidden powers and becomes a Grisha and a living saint all at once.
