Voting for the future leaders of the country is no piece of cake for any voter. There are factors to consider: the candidate’s platforms, political experience, educational background, and sometimes, even their looks. All these factors taken together, are sometimes too much for a citizen to take in. This is why some people decide to not vote altogether, and here are some of the reasons why they chose to abstain.
8. Work isn’t going to finish itself!
7. You don’t need guilt-tripping
Not voting will save you from all the guilt-tripping the internet (or your mother) throws at you about not being a registered voter yet. You won’t be guilty if you do nothing.
6. Voter registration is just too damn complicated
Who has all the time and effort to go through the process of voter registration??
5. You need more time for yourself
Let’s face it, less time for politics means more time for binge-watching The Walking Dead, Alden’s dimples, and tweeting about being #blessed. Why bother understanding platforms when you can just #hugot all day on Facebook, right?
4. You don’t want to complain anymore
Just where does complaining get one, really? Voicing out opinions and sparking public discourse sounds way too flashy and dangerous, and why bother complaining if no one’s listening?
3. You still couldn’t find the “One”
So. Many. Names. How can a voter even make a sound vote if there are just too many candidates to choose from? What if there just isn’t any worthy candidates? And so what if the future of the country depends on the elections? One vote won’t make a difference, right?
2. More sleep on May 9, 2016! Yaaas!
1. You won’t need to mind these people ever again
Well, this is pretty self-explanatory.
DISCLAIMER: You should still vote.
