We’re less than a week into quarantine and it’s forgivable if you’ve been feeling a little crazy. There’s a lot of negativity online and the headlines all scream the same thing but why don’t you just hit that pause button and rest for a while? In trying times like these we should take care of our mental health better if we’re to make it out alive.

Take a break and stream these Pinoy romcoms and dramedies in the meantime!

Four Sisters and a Wedding (2013)

We would just like to remind you that this amazing movie is available for streaming online which basically means you can go re-watch it to your heart’s content. Bea Alonzo, Angel Locsin, Toni Gonzaga, and Shaina Magdayao come together to deliver a dramedy that will touch everyone’s hearts. The four sisters unite to convince their brother, Enchong Dee, to stop his pending nuptials and the reunion opens up old family wounds and issues.

Bonus reason why you should watch it: Mocha Uson is a mistress in one scene and she gets dragged by the hair out of a bar.

She’s Dating the Gangster (2014)

Although Wattpad books are cringe-y at best, She’s Dating the Gangster by Wattpad author Bianca Bernardino (SGwannaB) is an exception. The movie adaptation, which starred Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, exceeded expectations with its beautiful and well-paced story. Although it used the usual romcom trope of fake dating to make a previous lover jealous, it surprisingly had relatable characters and great acting.

Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat (2008)

For Pinoy comedy gold, you know who to look for: Ai Ai Delas Alas. Paired with Eugene Domingo and Directed by Dir. Wenn Deramas, Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat was destined to be a hit. It might have its fair share of corny moments, but they’re all delivered impeccably. You’d need to have a rock for a heart if you don’t find at least some of it funny. The movie tells the story of Ina who is left to look for a job to raise her 12 children. The job she ends up with? Being the president of the Philippines.

It Takes a Man and a Woman (2009)

This is actually Part 3 of John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo’s hit 2008 film A Very Special Love and the 2009 You Changed My Life. This particular film had a lot of references to the first one, with the only downside being Sarah’s annoying wig. The (SPOILER ALERT) exes Laida and Miggy are forced to work together once again but it isn’t as easy as they thought it would be. Pretty soon, their unresolved feelings take over.

Starting Over Again (2014)

Ever had a campus crush you desperately wish you dated? Starting Over Again tells the story of an architecture student and a professor, Toni Gonzaga and Piolo Pascual respectively, who fell in love but had a heartbreaking fallout. Years later, they bump into each other and the old feelings resurface.

Full disclosure: you might cry. The ending certainly isn’t typical but it’s a healthy dose of reality which, frankly, everyone needs.

Seven Sundays (2017)

Seven Sundays is a dramedy telling the story of a father (Ronaldo Valdez) who finds out he has a grave illness and that he only has 7 weeks left to live. His busy adult children are called to spend their Sundays with him but as the weeks go by, it’s clear they all have some kinds of long-buried beef with each other. Sibling fights ensue but rest assured everything worked out in the end. This is the kind of film you’d want to watch with the entire family.

Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa Wifi (2018)

What happens if you contract a rare disease that makes you sick around gadgets and the internet? Would life stop? Or would you see more clearly the people around you? Norma (Sue Ramirez) has “Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity syndrome”, a condition that forces her to live in the province — social-media free.

Everyday, I Love You (2015)

A little LizQuen won’t hurt your heart, especially if it’s them in this specific movie. Liza Soberano plays a simple country girl waiting for her boyfriend (Gerald Andersonn) to wake up from his coma when she meets successful Enrique Gil who works for a TV company in Manila. He encourages her to be a part of his project and the two fall in love. But what happens once her boyfriend wakes from his sleep?
